PROJECT UPDATES

The first version of the Chef Gastro Engineer European Curriculum has been released and can be here downloaded NECTAR_CGECurriculum.

The main aim of the NECTAR project is to overcome the identified mismatch between the skills currently offered by cooks and chefs working in hospitals, residential care, and home care and those actually demanded by healthcare institutions, private service providers, and final end-users in order to play a pivotal role in Primary Food Care.

To this end NECTAR designed and has now published the European Curriculum for Chef Gastro Engineer.

The first version of the European CGE curriculum is based on the CGE professional profile designed in the NECTAR project and includes 69 Learning Outcomes, which are described in terms of Knowledge, Skills, and Personal and Transversal Competencies.

. The 29 Core Competencies, characterizing the CGE at the European level are grouped into 7 Units of Learning Outcomes.

The structure of the CGE curriculum, which is Learning outcomes-oriented, Modular, and Flexible guarantees its sustainability and applicability to different European countries.
